New purse!

Just a quick one. Went to the local fabric shop yesterday and while getting material for an order, some funky green retro print fabric caught my eye. Must have been popular as two other people bought some of the same material while I was there! Anyway, today I decided to make myself a new purse as mine if getting a bit dogeared. I really like it. not sure how practical the design is, but will give it a go. What do you think?

  1. Rather a nice idea. Personally I would use this as a small project bag rather than a purse. Smaller items like coins could just find their way through the fold. Perhaps a zip in the opening to close that gap?

  2. I tried it out today and it works really well (for me anyway!! I have quite alot of junk in my purst, so the coins stayed in place!) But it made me realise that this is the first photo I have put on here. As they are all on my facebook page I guess I didnt realy think about it, but now that i have realised, I will have to do something about it!
    Thanks for feedback Mandy!

  3. I like the green fabric you have chosen and the coordinating fabric inside. A lovely idea. Dianna

  4. I was thinking if you supported the fold (where the top folds over) with a 'seam' maybe and then added a cord to hang it over your shoulder. Is it big enough for that?

Really cute. =0) Tina "The Book Lady"
